Find Aircraft Details & More Resources

Anyone can find basic aircraft information, but to view additional aircraft details, you must have a subscription and be logged in.

  1. From the homepage, select or search for an aircraft.
  2. If desired, use the filters on the left to narrow the results.
  3. Review the detailed view, which includes a summary of costs, performance, range, and amenities.
  4. If the aircraft is available for sale or charter, you will see buttons for Controller.com and CharterHub.com. You can also find tail numbers, photos, and more information by clicking the button for Aircraft.com.

Options include:

  • Visit Controller.com to browse similar aircraft for sale.
  • Visit CharterHub.com to find similar aircraft available for charter flights and their locations, and request a quote.
  • Use Aircraft.com to find detailed specs, including airframe and inspections, and photos for similar aircraft.

Navigate Aircraft Detail Pages

Aircraft detail pages provide extensive information about individual aircraft. To select and navigate a specific aircraft’s detail page, log in and follow these steps:

Find Your Aircraft - On the homepage, use any of these options to select an aircraft:

  • Type the aircraft model’s name in the Search For An Aircraft field and press Enter.
  • Use the filters at the top and/or to the left of the page to finetune your search.
  • Find the aircraft in the list and click its hyperlinked name.

Select Your Preferences - Use the toggle switch and drop-down menu at the top left of detail pages to:

  • Change between imperial or metric measurements
  • Select a currency

Navigate The Page - Each detail page has a summary at the top. To view further details, scroll down the page or use the links at the top to jump to the corresponding section. Main sections include:

  • Cost Summary - total annual costs, hourly variable costs, annual fixed costs, and more
  • Performance - speeds, maximum takeoff weight, and more
  • Interactive Map - shows the aircraft’s flight range
  • Interior - measurements, passenger capacity, and more
  • Exterior - measurements, illustrations, and more

If you’re not registered or logged in, you can select a details page, but not all details will be accessible. For full access, click one of the buttons below.

Reports

Request An On-Demand Report

If you have already registered and logged in, visit the Plans & Pricing page, look for the On-Demand Report (Any Aircraft) option, and click Buy Now.

If you have not registered to use the site, follow these steps:

  1. Click On Demand Report in the top menu.
  2. Enter your contact information and click Register.
  3. Choose aircraft type and available models.
  4. Click the arrows to add the aircraft to your report. You can select up to three aircraft.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. Specify the details you want your report to include, such as owner hours, chartering, depreciation, and financing.
  7. Click Sample to see what a full report looks like.
  8. Click Buy Report and enter your payment information to obtain your report.
  9. Click OK. Reports can be printed or accessed on the web or a mobile device.

Generate A Multi-Aircraft Report

You can create a shareable report that compares the cost of ownership and operations estimates for multiple aircraft. Log in to AircraftCostCalculator.com and follow these steps:

  1. Click the Add To Session button for each aircraft you want to include. You can compare up to three aircraft on the same page.
  2. Click Calculator at the bottom of the page.
  3. Input custom usage parameters and adjust editable fields as needed.
  4. Click Report Editor at the bottom of the page.
  5. Under Aircraft In Report, upload a custom photo for each aircraft if desired.
  6. Under Report Contents, click Select All or select individual components you want in the report.
  7. If you are including a range map, under Configure Range Map, choose either the Ferry, Full Seats, or Projected range view. If desired, use the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons to adjust the map view and enter an airport in the Search field to show the planes’ ranges specific to that airport.
  8. Click Generate Report at the bottom of the page.
  9. In the generated report, type a title and subtitle in the fields provided.
  10. In the Enter Notes box, include any desired notes. You can click and drag the bottom right corner of the box to expand it.
  11. Enter a name and phone number in the contact fields.
  12. Click Download at the top of the page to get a shareable PDF.
  13. You can wait for the download to complete or retrieve it later by clicking User Files at the upper right of the homepage, selecting the Reports Tab, and either clicking the file link or the Download button.

Pro Tip: Copy Parameters In Multi-Aircraft Comparisons

When comparing multiple aircraft in a session, you can quickly apply the same parameters across all models to save time and ensure consistency. In a session comparing multiple aircraft:

  1. Enter your comparison parameters for the first aircraft.
  2. Click Copy Values in the General Parameters box for that aircraft, and those parameters will fill in for the other aircraft. The copied parameters will update across all variable fields.

Generate & Share A Custom-Branded Report

If you’ve used Aircraft Cost Calculator to calculate the cost of ownership and operations estimates for a specific aircraft model, you can generate a custom-branded report to share the projections with others. Log in to AircraftCostCalculator.com and follow these steps:

  1. With the aircraft’s estimates document open, click Single Aircraft Report near the top of the page.
  2. Customize the report by adding a title and subtitle.
  3. In the Enter Notes box, add notes if desired. You can click and drag the bottom right corner of the box to expand it.
  4. Enter your contact information.
  5. In the Range Map section, you can use the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons to adjust the view and enter an airport in the Search field to show the aircraft’s range specific to the airport if desired.
  6. Click the Download button at the top of the page to get a shareable PDF.
  7. You can wait for the download to complete or retrieve it later by clicking User Files at the upper right of the homepage, selecting the Reports Tab, and either clicking the file link or the Download button.

Access Past Reports

Save time when researching and comparing aircraft by using your saved reports.

  • Log in and click User Files in the top menu.
  • Reports are listed with options to review, download, or delete items.

Range Map

Use The Range Map

Aircraft Cost Calculator’s Range Map helps you visualize flight ranges. You must be a subscriber and logged in to use this feature.

  1. Select an aircraft on the homepage or search for a model and click it.
  2. Click Range.

Explore The Range Map - The outer green ring indicates an aircraft’s estimated ferry or empty-leg range without passengers. The inner orange ring shows the range with full seats. You can:

  • Zoom in or out of the map using the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons, or by scrolling. Click and drag the map to pan in any direction.
  • Click the map or search by airfield to view an aircraft’s range from specific locations.
  • To see how different parameters affect the aircraft’s range, scroll up, click Add To Session, and click Calculator.
  • Edit the fields to include the desired parameters for crew, cargo weight, passengers, average passenger weight, and more.
  • Click Map.

Generate A Single Aircraft Report With A Range Map - You can generate a report for a single aircraft that includes a range map.

  1. Click Single Report.
  2. Under Report Contents, select the Range Map checkbox.
  3. Choose the type of range (ferry, full seats, or projected).
  4. Adjust the map’s location and zoom settings.
  5. Click Generate Report.
  6. Enter a title, subtitle, and notes if desired.
  7. Click Download.

Generate A Multi-Aircraft Report With A Range Map – You can also create a report for up to three aircraft at a time by adding them to the same session.

  1. Follow the steps above under “Generate A Single Aircraft Report With A Range Map.”
  2. Click your browser’s Back button and select Add Aircraft at the upper left.
  3. Follow the steps above.

Trip Calculator

Use The Trip Cost Calculator

With Aircraft Cost Calculator you can estimate the cost of an individual trip, and you can add legs if desired. You must be a subscriber and logged in to use this feature.

Start A New Trip

  1. Use the AircraftCostCalculator.com Search field to find the desired aircraft.
  2. Click Add To Session to view options for the aircraft.
  3. Click Calculator at the bottom of the page.
  4. Click Trip Cost Calculator at the top of the page.
  5. Enter the departing and destination airports.
  6. Enter the number of passengers.
  7. Enter a markup percentage. (This is usually 10% for charter companies.)
  8. Enter an hourly charter rate.
  9. Click Create New Route.
  10. Review your trip cost estimate and trip route map.

Add Another Leg

  1. If desired, add a new leg destination.
  2. Click Add Airport.
  3. Add details for the new leg destination and click Add.

Save Your Trip Report

  1. Click Generate Report if you would like to save the results as a downloadable PDF.
  2. Add a report title and notes about the trip, if desired.
  3. Click Download.
  4. Click User Files to access your saved reports.
