Embraer’s Phenom 300E Business Jet Receives ANAC, EASA & FAA Certification
Embraer, the Brazilian manufacturer of Phenom, Legacy, Praetor, and Lineage executive jets, announced in late March that its newly enhanced Phenom 300E has received “triple certification,” or type certification from the National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil (ANAC), the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and the FAA. Embraer launched the Phenom series in 2005 and entered it into service 2009. The company announced the Phenom 300E in 2017; the twin-engine jet is set for delivery in the second quarter.
Fastest & Longest
Embraer says the Phenom 300 Series is the “most-delivered business jet series in the 2010s,” and says the Phenom 300E is the “fastest and longest-ranged single-pilot business jet.” Michael Amalfitano, Embraer Executive Jets president and CEO, says the newly achieved triple certification reaffirms the Phenom 300 series’ position “as the best light jet ever made, offering the ultimate experience in business aviation.” Owners, he says, “can be assured of the jet’s performance, with our ongoing commitment to unparalleled technology, safety, and comfort.”
Able to reach Mach 0.80, the clean-sheet-designed Phenom 300E is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW535E1 engines that propel it to a high-speed cruise of 464 knots. The jet has a 2,010-nautical-mile (3,723-kilometer) range with five passengers with NBAA IFR reserves. The Phenom 300E also features avionics upgrades, including integration of a runaway overrun awareness and alerting system (ROAAS), predictive wind shear, and emergency descent mode. Elsewhere, the jet includes a Prodigy Touch Flight Deck based on the Garmin 3000 avionics suite, 4G connectivity via Gogo AVANCE L5, and the award-winning Bossa Nova Edition interior as an option.
