Roughly a month after Gulfstream Aerospace opened a new 225,000-square-foot (20,903-square-meter) customer support service center at Farnborough Airport near London in the UK, the company announced it has opened a new customer service center at Palm Beach International Airport in Florida. Gulfstream is sharing the all-new, nearly 161,000-square-foot (14,960-square-meter) facility with Jet Aviation, a provider of FBO, maintenance, completions, flight service, charter services, and more in the United States, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Middle East.
20 Years & Counting
Gulfstream is occupying about 105,000 square feet (9,750 square meters) of the new facility, which can handle up to seven Gulfstream G650ERs or G650s. Besides major inspections, the facility is equipped to provide structural modifications and repairs, major avionics installations, and system upgrades. The Federal Aviation Administration and European Union Aviation Safety Agency have certified the service center as a repair station, and numerous countries have granted maintenance approvals.
“Gulfstream has had a presence in Palm Beach for almost 20 years with the capability to accommodate all Gulfstream models,” says Derek Zimmerman, president of Gulfstream Customer Support. “We are excited to open a state-of-the-art facility that will offer world-class service to a greater number of Gulfstream aircraft simultaneously. The Palm Beach service center is well-positioned to support customers in domestic and international markets, including South America.” Along with the Farnborough facility, Gulfstream also opened service facilities in California, Wisconsin, and Georgia last year.
